Crash it — we rebuild it, from Lancaster.
The structural frame is 3D-printed in our own workshop. A crashed arm is printed and posted to you, usually next day. No couriering to China and waiting weeks.
Two drones. One sealed battery. Open firmware you can reprogram. Built, tested and repaired in Lancaster — not imported, not disposable.
FPV has a reputation for complexity. Here is why ours is different — and what each one means for you.
The structural frame is 3D-printed in our own workshop. A crashed arm is printed and posted to you, usually next day. No couriering to China and waiting weeks.
Most FPV drones ship with a bare battery velcro-strapped to the spine. Ours uses a sealed, slide-in smart battery — the same principle as the DJI Avata. No fire risk from exposed cells, consistent balance every flight, and one spare battery works across both models.
Both drones transmit a live video feed to DJI goggles — the industry-leading low-latency HD system. It is the closest thing to being inside the drone.
Built-in GPS means the drone holds its position the moment you stop the sticks. If the radio link drops, it automatically returns to your launch point — safely, without you touching the controller.
Open ArduPilot firmware means real waypoint navigation, geofencing, and autonomous flight — drawn on a map. No locked ecosystem, no cloud account required. And when you are ready, you can reprogram every flight parameter yourself.
Traditional FPV — racing quads, manual-only flying — takes months of practice. MemAero drones work differently.
Tell us how you fly. We'll tell you which model fits.
Stable, manageable, 4K video out of the box. You do not need to tune anything. The Aero 2 is designed to be flown on day one by someone who has never flown before.
The Aero 3 is the camera platform. 4K at 120fps, 10-bit colour, bigger 7-inch frame for smoother footage in wind. Built for people who care about what the footage looks like.
The Aero 2 runs ArduPilot with ACRO mode available. It is the right size for park flying and tight-space FPV. The sealed battery means no loose pack flying off in a crash.
The Aero 2 is the right starting point. It is capable enough to be exciting, stable enough to not be immediately frustrating, and built in the UK so if something breaks you are not waiting six weeks for a part from abroad.
Two British-made FPV drones, designed and built in Lancaster. Both run ArduPilot open firmware and share the same sealed smart battery — a combination you won't find from any other FPV drone UK manufacturer. The difference between them is frame size and what you want to do with it.
5-inch frame. Compact, stable, crystal-clear HD video. The everyday drone for first-time flyers who want something more than a toy — and something that lasts.
7-inch frame. Bigger sensor, longer range, cinematic 4K footage. For aerial filmmakers, content creators, and serious enthusiasts who want footage that stands out.
Every other FPV drone ships with a bare LiPo battery velcro-strapped to the spine. It works. It is also visually unfinished, thermally unmanaged, and carries real fire risk if the pack is damaged in a crash.
MemAero takes a different approach. The smart battery is commercially engineered, sealed, and slides into a purpose-built bay at the rear of the airframe — the same principle behind the DJI Avata. It is not a LiPo bolted on as an afterthought.
FPV drones are entirely legal to fly for recreational use in the UK. Here is exactly what that means in practice.

Electronics are sourced internationally — as they are for every manufacturer on earth. We are honest about that. What we do in Lancaster is the design, the 3D-printed structure, the assembly, and the repair.
Waitlist members get a direct contact for the first six months of ownership. No ticket queue, no support bot. A person who built the thing.
Manufacturing defects covered free of charge for the first year. Crash damage is chargeable — but priced fairly and repaired locally, usually within two weeks.
