Every other FPV drone ships with a bare LiPo battery velcro-strapped to the spine. The MemAero Aero 3 uses a sealed, slide-in smart battery — the same principle as the DJI Avata. No fire risk from exposed cells, consistent balance every flight, and one spare battery works across both MemAero models.
The Aero 3 transmits a live HD feed to DJI goggles via the DJI O4 Pro system — cinematic colour latitude, low-latency HD, and 4K/120fps 10-bit for footage that stands out at full resolution.
Built-in GPS gives the Aero 3 Position Hold — the drone locks in place the moment you stop the sticks. If the radio link drops, Return-to-Home brings it back automatically. Essential at extended range where the risks of flyaway are real.
Open ArduPilot firmware means real waypoint navigation, geofencing, and autonomous missions drawn on a map. No locked ecosystem, no cloud account required. When the frame needs work, it comes back to Lancaster — printed parts made fresh, electronics tested and reflashed.
