Every other FPV drone ships with a bare LiPo battery velcro-strapped to the spine. The MemAero Aero 2 uses a sealed, slide-in smart battery — the same principle as the DJI Avata. No fire risk from exposed cells, consistent balance every flight, and one spare battery works across both MemAero models.
The Aero 2 transmits a live HD feed to DJI goggles via the DJI O4 system — the industry-leading low-latency HD link. 4K/60fps. It is the closest thing to being inside the drone.
Built-in GPS gives the Aero 2 Position Hold — release the sticks and it stops and hovers. If the signal drops, Return-to-Home kicks in automatically. The safety net every new flyer needs.
Open ArduPilot firmware means you can reprogram every flight parameter yourself — hover modes, acrobatics, autonomous waypoint flights. No black boxes, no subscription, no locked ecosystem. The frame is 3D-printed in Lancaster — a crashed arm is posted to you, usually next day.
